With nearly 100 credits and over 18 years of experience in the film and television industry, Christine Luby is an American-Australian director known for her vibrant storytelling and collaborative approach. Her directorial debut, the romantic comedy This Little Love of Mine (Netflix), was shot along the Australian coastline during the pandemic and quickly rose to become the 2nd most-watched film globally on its opening weekend.

Since then, Christine has gone on to direct a diverse slate of projects, including The Curious Case of Dolphin Bay for Disney+ which was nominated for an Australian Directors Guild Award and multiple episodes of Netflix’s Dive Club, a series that received both Logie and AACTA Award nominations. Her other credits also include the Tubi Original Love and Penguins, Royal Rendezvous for Peacock, and Holly Jolly Christmas for MarVista Entertainment. Her elevated romantic comedy You, Always, starring Adrian Grenier, is awaiting release, while the steamy romance Beauty From Pain is currently in post production for Passionflix.

Christine began her career as an Assistant Director, working on major studio productions such as Peter Rabbit, The Wolverine, Aquaman, and Elvis. She also served as 1st AD on numerous films and series, and produced the Sydney Film Festival indie favorite Chocolate Oyster.

Drawing on an international upbringing and training as a modern dancer at Hampshire College and Laban Centre London, Christine brings a distinct sense of movement, rhythm, and emotional nuance to her work. Her intuitive, actor-focused direction is complemented by strong technical expertise, making her a trusted creative force across genres.
